Jason is the executive director of the IGDA, a professional society committed to advancing the careers and enhancing the lives of game developers. Jason and the IGDA focus on connecting developers with their peers, promoting professional development, and advocating on issues that affect the developer community - such as quality of life, creative freedoms, workforce diversity and credit standards.
Yannis Mallat is CEO at Ubisoft's Montreal studio and has been with the company since 2000. During his six years with Ubisoft, he has successively held the roles as third party producer and producer and executive producer - new IP's on titles including multi-million selling franchise, Prince of Persia. Yannis' key to success stems from the creation of passionate teams and in the capacity to capture the energy and magic that surrounds game development. His driving goal is to deliver emotionally engaging gaming experiences that exploit the interactive nature of the medium to its fullest.
Andrew Eades graduated in Computer Science from Bristol University in 1991. After, a yearlong spell at Oxford Softworks working on Chess 2175 and similar products he joined DMA Design as a Senior Programmer working on the Lemmings franchise and Nintendo 64 R&D. In 1995, Andrew joined Virgin Interactive Entertainment in London, becoming a leading member of their internal development studio. In 2000, Andrew joined SurfCast, a start-up dotcom, to pioneer a Broadband Browser. In 2003, Andrew and David Amor founded Relentless Software which has released DJ: Decks & FX; worked on EyeToy and SingStar and developed the million-selling award-winning quiz-show franchise, Buzz!, released in 2005.
Greg Costikyan is CEO and co-founder of Manifesto Games, a start-up devoted to building a viable path to market for independently developed games. Over three decades in the game industry, he has designed more than 30 commercially published board, roleplaying, computer, online, and mobile games. Prior to Manifesto, he was a games researcher for Nokia; and before that, was cofounder and Chief Design Officer of Unplugged Games, a mobile games start-up. He has written extensively on games, game design, and game industry buisness issues for publications including the New York Times, WSJ Interactive, Salon, and The Escapist, and is also the author of four published science fiction novels.
Raphael worked in the game business for 13 years. He co-founded Arkane Studios in 1999 in France and recently opened an office in Austin, TX. Raphael acts as CEO and Creative director of the company. his recent work includes Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Arx Fatalis. Rémi Racine is CEO - Executive Producer and also Founder of A2M. For the past 10 years, his contribution has allowed A2M to become a world leader in the video game industry, ranking it today among the top three independent developers in North America. Currently president of Alliance NumériQC, Mr. Racine enjoys a solid reputation within the Video Game Industry. Before joining A2M, he worked for ten years in the real estate industry. Mr. Racine has a Bachelor degree in finance from the University of Quebec in Montreal.
