Daniel Beaudin
Art Director
DTI Software

Daniel Beaudin, Art Director at DTI Software, jumped from the printing industry to the video game world in 1999, by joining DTI where he worked on several titles aimed at the IFE market. After joining Atari's Mistic Studio, where he contributed to GBA titles, he went back at DTI in 2003, working once again in this very special area of the gaming industry in order to push the limits of this market beyond the universe of traditional home consoles.

Frédéric Bibet

Frédéric Bibet began his video game career in 1993 with Atari/Infogrames where he worked as a programmer, senior programmer, project manager and producer for The Smurfs, Spirou, Tintin, Lucky Luke, Alone in the Dark and Sheep Dog’n Wolf. In 2002, Frédéric took the helm of Mistic Software, a studio specializing in the development of GBA, DS and PSP handheld consoles. Since that time, the studio has developed titles such as Superman, Duel Masters series 1, 2 and 3, Backyard Hockey, Backyard Basketball, and Titeuf on PS2 and is presently working video games for GBA, DS and PSP.

Jason Della Rocca
Executive Director
International Game Developers Association

Jason oversees the management of the International Game Developers Association, working to build a unified global game development community and provide a common voice for developers. Jason and the IGDA deal with such diverse topics as developer quality of life, anti-censorship, academic relations, business issues and workplace diversity. Jason has been a member of the game development community for over a decade, and has spent time at Matrox Graphics, Quazal and Silicon Graphics. Jason can be reached at jason@igda.org.

Sébastien Ébacher
Ubisoft

Sebastien currently holds the position of associate producer at Ubisoft. For the last six years, he has been active in many aspects of the industry, especially while working as the gaming industry analyst for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Moreover, in 2004, he worked as CEO for Artmedia Studios, producing the PC title "Qui a Croqué la lune II". From 2001 to 2004, Sebastien acted as member of the Board of Alliance NumériQC. Previous to joining the industry, he worked as an economist for Industry Canada in the IT and telecommunications sector.

Geneviève Lizée
VP, Operations
Digital Fiction

Geneviève Lizée has worked in the telecommunications and multimedia field for the last 10 years, specializing in videogames for the last 7. In 1999 she confounded Digital Fiction, an independent creator of console videogames. The studio distinguished itself by developing Race Fever for the Palm platform and went on to produce Boxing Fever (GBA), Black & Bruised (PS2 and GameCube), and Yuyu Hakusho (PS2). Geneviève has a degree in business administration and is on the TechnoCompetences board of directors since May 2004.

Rémi Lortie
Sarbakan

With studies in graphic arts & design, Remi works in the game and animation industry as an art director. Joining Sarbakan in 1999, he works on the studio's key game titles, and other licensed IP games for clients such as Warner Bros, Cartoon Network, THQ and Disney. Remi also works actively in improving production processes at Sarbakan.

Paul Gadbois
Producer
Beenox Inc.

Paul Gadbois may be the newest addition to the Beenox team, but he is no stranger to the gaming industry. For the past 6 years, he was responsible for the turn-key delivery of games within budget and with the correct resource and capital equipment in place at Strategy First then at JAMDAT. He worked on more than 25 projects, including Disciples I & II, O.R.B., Chrome and Etherlords II. He acquired a solid experience as a video game producer, managing milestone deliverables from internal and external developers, working closely with quality assurance departments, and acting as the point of contact for publishers and/or distributors. He joined Beenox early in 2005 as a video game producer.

Cédric Orvoine
PR Specialist
Ubisoft

Cédric Orvoine has been Ubisoft's PR Specialist at the company's Montréal studios since January 2004. He works in close collaboration with the company's Communications team on all corporate files that are intended for the Canadian media.
Before joining Ubisoft, Cédric held a similar job at Microïds for close to three years. Prior to that, he worked for an agency (GPC Concordia Communications) as well as with the Communications team of the Montréal Canadiens hockey club.

Alexandre Parizeau
Producer
Ubisoft

Alexandre is currently the producer of a game for next-generation consoles at Ubisoft. In his 8 years of experience in the videogame industry, he has produced several PC and console titles and worked in collaboration with major clients such as Disney, Warner Bros, THQ and Take 2. Alexandre has a broad range of experience within the game production pipeline starting from his early roots in QA and game design to producer.

Louis-Pierre Pharand
Development Director
Electronic Arts Montréal

Louis-Pierre Pharand currently holds the position of Development Director at EA Montréal. Since he joined in January 2004 he had the opportunity to be part of the Golden Eye Rogue Agent and Medal of Honor European Assault team. For the next year he will be concentrating is effort in creating an original IP for the next-generation console. Before joining EA Montréal, Louis-Pierre was the Production Manager on the CG animated movie P3K Pinocchio 3000. He also occupied similar position on multiples 2D animated series.

Dominique Roussy

Dominique Roussy currently holds the position of Producer at Ubisoft's Montréal Studio. He has 10 years of experience in 3D, 7 of which are in Game Development. He has participated in the production of more than 20 titles for such notable publishers as: Konami, Disney, THQ, Majesco and Ubisoft.

Dany Savard
Producer
Jamdat Canada

For the past two years, Dany Savard has held the position of Producer at Jamdat Canada, a company that specializes in the development of cell phone games. He is responsible for game design projects, up to and including quality control, and plays an active role in the deployment phase. His long tenure as lead programmer provided him with solid experience in the creation and development of software and games on several platforms, including PC, Pocket PC, Brew and J2me. Over the past ten years he has helped develop several titles, including Lemonade Tycoon, Worms World Party and Jamdat Mahjong.

Ken Schachter

Ken currently holds the position of Studio Manager at Gameloft Montréal. In addition to managing the group's operations, he oversees the production of all original creations in the studio. He has 10 years of technology/entertainment experience and has worked in film post production, 2D animation and mobile industries.

Martin Walker
CTO
A2M

Martin Walker, CTO at A2M, has been involved in commercial software development in Montréal since the mid 80's. He has spent most of his career in the multimedia arena, working for companies like Matrox Electronics, Softimage and others. His venture in the gaming industry has evolved into the creation of A2M's multiplatform game engine and the elaboration of an optimized production pipeline to produce good quality games fast.
